Seitokai Yakuindomo is slapstick'ish as well, but focuses more on ecchi slapstick since its based of that ecchi 4-koma manga.

Normally i wouldnt recommend anything ecchi at all because its not my cup of tea when its done just to get pervs fapping over waifus and no plot, but in this one the jokes manage to be funny enough without being overcringey, even for me who had never read the 4-koma before watching it on a whim. You have to stomache a lot of pantyshots and stuff tho iirc.

Yea i dont like comedy focused animes in general, but even those are infinitely better than moeblob anime or pure slice of life where the MC is the usual generic japanese guy who is dumb as a doornail, gets beat up by girls but still manages to get an harem while being totally oblivious to the girls in question. #HateDonkan

Now re-watching Cowboy Bebop. See you space cowboy...

Finished 2 more anime.

1. Konosuba S2
Yerp, until the end i couldnt get entertained much except for final 2 episodes. Final episode is pretty much similar to 1st season explosion spam with beautiful high budget production. It still cant save the anime much for me because I didnt get enjoyment out of it. Dont watch this series and expect for a proper plot, character arc and joke is hit & miss for certain people.

2. March come like a Lion
Finally a deep thought provoking about personal struggle. The series could be boring for some people because of high amount of inner monologue in it. However, Im as one of pessimistic person feel kinda able to related to MC. Kinda remind me of Yamamote / NHK. With various tons of slice of life in it, happiness, hardship, sadness, struggle, and triumph, kinda made it have variety tons of emotion in it. It is definitely not an impact full series like other drama type of anime, but good enough to be realistic. Oh, it got shogi as main theme.

*Food wars S3 next.

I read Little Busters! VN a bunch of years with a fan translation ago before i started taking up japanese, even then being a complete noob i knew the fan translation was wonky as all hell but that was to be expected. It's been localized recently, and i hear the translation is miles better as it should be. But i didnt get to read that one at least not yet.

Anyway, i just watched the anime and after having read the VN i can say it's good. I was expecting more but what i got was enough for me not to go lethargic or outright hate it on possible complete plot skips or worse. 7/10 , an above average anime imo.

1. Shougeki Souma season 3 (and several other OVA)
Im now starting to feel the repeating pattern of the shounen style anime. While other tried to play around with new enemies / challenge and new places, shougeki is now focus solely on battle itself rather than character growth. I had this problem in 2nd season because it was tournament episode in most of the part, until MC do internship at the end of season 2. That is when you able to challenge, problem solving and character growth rather than just "this is my skill, behold my new trick, food-porn scene" repeating every episode. Probably you can learn several term and new technique that they used, but it far less than 1st season which is the best for me.

The series' other OVA is fun side story for me, with story focused about side characters and having fun just like in normal slice-of-life fashion. I think it was designed so that food wars only finish in 1 cour, but if you cramped so much fight in 1 season, it will feel too packed. But i guess it is battle than super long traditional dragged shounen anime.

2. Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut
GENERIC HAREM BATTLE MAGIC SCHOOL ANIME. Gosh, I tried to give this series a chance, but I finally can understand why people loath this kind of series. I mean it is not that hard to be slightly unique and add more flavour stuff to the series. But it is remained meh typical throughout the series. I watched a lot of this type of genre, and this among the one that i feel like "below average". Artstyle is fine, but there just problem in direction or the series is simply lacked of "the hook".

*Now I have no idea what to watch next, I should check any other good anime from 2017

Binge watched Berserk (1997) in 24 hours, first episode is crap but then it gets so so good. Probably the best anime I've watched.

First episode is not crap. It ties the whole series into the loop and you can watch it infinite times over and over again.

It's not only crap in the generic-anime-crap kind of way, it's literally so bad it put me off from watching the series. Berserk was sitting on my hd unwatched for a long time. A horrible intro into an otherwise superb anime.

That, and it's bad even in a storytelling way as certain highlights in the story would work even better without the first episode due to viewer being unable to deduce future information from it. It doesn't even establish anything about the world or the characters because it's the future, and the actual series happens in a completely different setting. I'd recommend anyone to skip the first episode completely until you've watched the series, and if you can honestly say that, it means it's utterly crap, blank and pointless.

i get what you mean with that, episode 1 tries to pull an "in media res" into the series but ends up kind of spoiling everything on the very first episode, anyone who never read the manga would consider the first episode to be redundant after watching the rest of the series, i still love the series to death but i am on the fence on how i look at it, in one point i understand what you mean with the hate for ep 1, on the other (having read the manga and already having watched the anime numerous times) i can see it was paced that way for the ominousness, to let viewers get a taste of the incoming tragedy filled plot, the slow descent of Griffith's madness because of his ambition, and the brutality youre in for when it comes to the violence depicted there.

Finished K: Return of the kings

Lets just say I already watched the first season and the movie, but I still have no idea how the world work and clash between of all of the kings. Throughout the series I was thinking, should i go in blindly or should i just skip it and hopefully it explain the series properly. But 1 thing I could at least judge properly is the artstyle. I remembered how "beautiful the artstyle from 1st season and movie" but then I realized that it simply lazy or doesnt make sense. The colour gradient effect is seem like amateur photoshop layer blending effect, with tons of unnecessary blue off-colour in most of the scene. Im not sure if my skill monitor screen have high contrast or not, but it bleed my eyes when i watching the screen.
► Show Spoiler

Several fight scene have kinda like "fluid" camera but only to realize that they also still using low fps 3D CGI as background.. ugh. While I liked full 3D CGI style anime with low fps, the blend between is kinda like ugly. Im surprised the series got high score for it, but it is probably because i couldnt give full attention because it simply doesnt make sense to me.
