Meh, too much flanger effect. IMO? Drop the flanger, makes the whole tone unclear, something similar to Kirk hammet and his wah wah. In any case, nice technique.

GZ! Tone now sounds a hell better with no flanger.

Legend.
This one sounds clearer. I feel like I can hear the guitar more. I don't mind either one. 1st one sounds more raw.
I don't mean to dwell...but I can't help myself.

Definitely sounds like fun. Not sure how you would want to do it. I've written solo's for other people's songs before,

Would you have any suggestions on how we'd go about writing an original?

We can talk about it via *insert whatever voip call program* or wherever you want, and we decide how can we do it, there's tons of ways like sending files, recording while talking at skype to show ideas etc

What do you use to record? There would be a difference in tone too that might be a bit difficult to sync.

I just use podfarm, and my line 6 pod ux2.

Guitar -> Amp -> sometimes Mic for HQ others direct LineOUT (Line6 spider3 75W) -> Line6 ux2 -> podfarm -> Reaper or ProTools(This one if I need to do a serious job)

Damn, sounds like I could get some tips for recording methods then.
