This is planned, but even if the character's inventory may look completed on screenshots, it really isn't. For example you can see there's no buttons to switch weapons. Also most of click handling hasn't been recoded yet. And as you mentioned it, gear slots background. That's why the character's inventory is still in the

This kind of things is actually in discussion with suchbalance currently. I want to rework these quest rewards a little bit. For example, this particular one previously only accepted, white, non-socketed items, and gave you a rare item out of it. So far we've decided to just get rid of the nazi restrictions and allow normal, magic and socketed items to be used for the imbue quest. As for jewelry, I don't think these will be enabled.
