Do druid bow skills still suck at procing 'on striking' effects?

Like, in 2012 MXL (I've played since Median 08, only just returned to the game), you'd have spore shot firing hundreds of arrows, but if you try 'Cyclops' X-bow (runeword) with 'Tranquilizer' bolt quiver (unique), you'd see fuck all procs.

Meanwhile, trap rat procs 'on striking' like crazy.

It seemed busted. Does it work better now, or do you just stick to shockwave's 100% punisher on kill?

Yes a bit, it won't have as many knives as your skill scorpion blade but it will get some more. Also the proc/skill sucks.


If you look at the SSSU Skull Cap, that proc will get multiple projectiles (granted it gets a flat bonus from the affix itself), but the proc is affected by +max knivs from MKV the same way that a paladin using

and yeah, that proc sucks...

puting points into MKV does not the boost the proc the same as it boost the regular skill . the proc does not get as many extra missiles as the regular skill . this was discussed a few pages back viewtopic.php?f=4&t=124&p=169368#p169368

It still partially works though. Probably just a small bug or miscalculation perhaps.

Two questions:
1. Why Stormcrow and Maelestorm MKV have 42/53 mana cost at lvl 10/9 ?! Im about to quit lvling my throwsin just because of that.
2. What "hit recently" stands for in stormcrow skill description ? Is it 1s, 10s or 1hr ?

Get some mana leech. It's not too difficult. Mana values were adjusted for these reasons. Are you playing the current patch?

2.) Get hit, throw stormcrows and count seconds until you get full amount of knives back. Pretty easy test. You can just go in the blood moor and find that out easily.

1 . many of the assassin skills have high/unreal mana costs . it forces you to socket p.sapphires in weapon / use teganze amulet , MO with mana leech /MOA if going melee .

2. could be 5 seconds but i am not 100%sure

High mana cost in early game is not single case for assassin, Ive seen many players complaining how they obliged to buy mana pots (all over again) in order to use their spells.
It might be good idea to reduce mana costs from certain spells for 10% on lower levels.

I always play on most recent patch. There's no point of not playing. Ofc getting mana leech is easy but now it force you to get it and waste mo/socket slots for it. Otherwise you wont be abele to attack and probably in "late game" when i have like lvl 20 SC it will cost 100 mana with 1000 mana in asn mana pool ? So 10 strikes and you are fucked ?
I know that throwsin is powerfull build but with that mana cost it becomes usless as "starter" char. Also i also wondering why only assassin get fucked by doubleing mana cos of her skills.
