HELP: High CPU Usage when play Diablo 2

Hello guys!

Can someone give me solutions about High CPU Usage Problem.

When i play Diablo 2, my CPU Usage's always about 30%-40%, in combat it increase to ~60% and too lag while i cast skills.

My Laptop is not bad at all

I tried everything i found on google: Compatibility, Run as admin, Glide, Update graphic driver, Update windows, Run with 1,2,3,4 processors, Turn off Antivirus, etc... but this problem still happen day by day :(

I love Median XL and Diablo so much but can't play it :(

The game engine reaches its limit easily.

However there will be A new engine, which reduces laggs by a lot.

Until then try out -nosound and close your map when you don‘t need it.

Thanks for help. I tried -ns but its not affect :(

Laptop.... sound like you are using Intel graphic.
Of course that can cause spike in CPU because the "graphic card" itself is in the CPU chip itself.

If you have dual-graphic setting, plz set it in the card software panel.

I tried Direct2D, Direct3D, Glide setting already, still same problem.

My laptop has dual-graphic setting, i set the Nvdia graphic card to play Diablo too, still cannot help :(

So sad guys :((((((. I'm thinking about back to windows 7 or ghost my windows 10 btw ::(

afaik, its a known issue for win10. you can install a virtual win7 and run d2 in that, maybe that will reduce cpu usage.
