Will the median XL work with this version? i DL it from battle net and the version was this high..... anyone can confirm that it will work tomorrow?

A fresh install of Diablo 2 from battle.net will be ideal. Then grab the new version of our lancher, which will be posted on release, and it will set everything up for you.

So I'd say you're good.
