melee nec for XVc

So. a lot of people have told me that for a cheap untwinked progression on a necro you should go

totem til you get basic charms etc..> melee farm dunc etc.. then > xbow? for some of the harder ubers ?

not sure about this at the moment i have gotten all of the easy charms on a totem build and i think its a good time to respec to melee nec to start getting ssus and signets in dunc and other levels. problem is i dont see a recommended gear list or build guid that has been updated for XVc. Does anyone have some pointers on stats and gear that i should use for a melee nec? like i said i know nothing about the class and im trying to practice being good at necro because i want to play it next ladder i think.

Go for full melee necro set and go full str maybe some Dex depending on your attack rating. Get two rings og disengagement give em -% fire and psn resi. Empyrians Can be used too Get a craft doom amulet with skills etc. Max parasite famine dragon Oil and deathlord morph deathward embalming 1 point graveyard talons hold. All sockets ko runes . Attack with parasite get some damage going and use Angel of death to get some distance works for me bit beware of lag lol my shit laptop Can handle it when to much Stuff is happening on screen hope it works

If you can get the set then you should use it, since it is awesome, if not:

1) You can ask metalistas since if i remember right he loves to play this build and is kinda an expert

Gear from the top of my head:

Weapon: Chthon Sur-Scythe in a double mo nec specific scythe ( or Sur-Xis for the ultimate weapon )
Armor: Nih Armor Erawan?; or a nice crafted armor with javelin nova on attack
Rings: Xorine: Sweet Pwnisher proc + Attack rating ( you should not have AR problems, even if you are max str though - because deathlord adds lots of dex)
Belt Tu6 Heavy belt or Truce Vith Rw
On Switch Vizharan ( this is a huge boost to this build!!!) or just as much + skills as possible

I think i also loved using Whirlpool oskill from crafted boots vs some of the bosses

I guess the rest is more or less some crafts with + strength to get lots more dmg ( and therefore leech), some TCD if needed

Cant really remember the helm i prefer for this build ?!?

I am not an expert. And i think Stealthmaster is already writing a guide about it. So just be patient.

For helmet - random +3skills sacred rare circlet.

No need to go to totem necro early game. The progress is slow indeed with melee spec but you learn mechanics faster.

Nothing is slow anymore once you get to Griswold.

I also love usign a melee nec as a complete first char of a ladder season. Once you get used to it its a very nice char !

I'm doing Arihan now. I'd say 70% of all progress with a melee necro is completed

Toraja farming took a lot of time though
