Iron Spiral Barbarian Guide (Skill plan & Gearing section updated)

I made a barb and just finished act 1 hatred. I tried iron spiral and stormblast and compared them when I fought andy.

To me it looks like stormblast does less damage than iron spiral. Stormblast may does constant damage, but Iron spiral instantly hits for a huge chunk of damage.

So when I compared these 2 skills I was wondering if it's still the same in endgame. I simply can't imagine that stormblast will be of any use, considering just how many times Iron spiral hit. Plus Iron spiral has a much wider AoE, making it much more useful.

Can you please confirm/disapprove?

Later stormblast will properly become much better on single target than Spiral and worse on crowds. Andy just too squishy.

Yes this is correct. you are not doing damage with lightning damage so we dont add more points to iron spiral we just want WDM it provides and do damage with physical damage / Crushing blow. you could add more points to it if you want more lightning damage and attack rating tho.

Actually Stormblast outscales iron spiral on single target damage when you get more crushing blow from wolf stance. Stormblast hits multiple times and much more than iron spiral. Iron spiral is much better in crowds tho since its AOE is much higher than Stormblasts.

I've been playing this setup through my stream and it was pretty apparent that stormblast sucked ass in early game in comparison. You'll notice the strength difference towards terror and destruction much more.

im having issues with surviving in Dest. I have T6 deadfall, invictus, and zealots. Got a great Carsomyr, snowcap, Klaatu, Baron sludge, abd Simulacrom set ancient armor, and 500 sigs, (yes had the TG for most of this) and i am getting rekt on.
Any advice

max block? how much you have defense / Fhr/FBR breakpoints up? with that gear you should not have any issues.
