Ok so the less hp enemies have, the less damage crushing blow will do? So how do I get more raw damage? I am using all of the items recommended under mid game gear and MO'd everything already.

Would you care to tell me what to use then? Would be nice instead of making fun of the ops recommendations. Edit: and the shield actually gives me <100 hp I looked at your guide yours says abandoned craft glove/boots and weird craft weapon. What exactly do I look for on them? I actually do a crap ton damage, just not to bosses. I plow down everything in my path easily, except bosses.

Baal has avoid which is compensation for the removal of heroicshield. He is supposed to be difficult and since you don't have many charms and good amount of ele damage its going to take much longer.

    Hire a blood mage and equip fire spell/pierce gear where you can, try to keep him alive.

crushing blow https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Crushing_blow druid is the easiest class to get a good amount of cb on in the current state of the game due to your passives.

Not sure I understand? I have a bunch of crushing blow is that why I'm doing no damage or do I need a lot more?


Some bosses have avoid, Baal included in that category. Crushing Blow will certainly make it appear as if you're doing random big chunks of damage, relatively, also.

That's why I focus on rainbow dmg. CB is useful for 1st hits. Finishing off enemies with just CB and no Rainbow dmg may take a while.

Anyway, this ladder is tough to get 100% CB without losing rainbow dmg or other good stuff from items, i'm working on this, for now i have 91% CB without giving up on rainbow dmg, dr and such. Anyway, try to get CB as close to 100% as you can.

About merc they said it, bloodmage is a good solid choice, you can equip him with sacred Honorifics (six socket sword can be TU, no need for sacred) and MO in weapon FCR, Fire dmg, MF. In defensive gear go for Fire spell, ed, tcd, MF. you will get a merc with over 500k def, that can instaheal you and survive easily, with around 240% MF and is cheap to do.

Another choice, more expansive but fun for me, is barb. Oh, get your mercs on normal difficulty, they have better stats. anyway, equip barb with cc (croud control) items, like headbanger, toorc gift and such. Slowly i will get also a section for merc, but i think about barb there is a guide already.

Thanks for this post. I'm probably going to temp switch to jitans and get the merc to help with physical immunes and do more damage. And no I forgot to MO all of my items with ED before making the RWs so I ended up MO with total defense and now I will go fix them all.

One of rat's biggest weaknesses is his awful overall speed, so I'm surprised nobody talks about the Wolf Stance oskill from 2 pieces of the Curse of the Zakarum set. It won't help your bad FHR, but it will give you a lot of velocity to kite with, not to mention crushing blow. And using it doesn't disrupt your gameplay at all since you're only ever using one skill anyway.

Just curious about what makes boots good for rat. Also, wolf stance would make 5 frame bp for fhr very easy to hit.
