we plan on adding seasonal uniques and rotate them, so you can certainly expect that.

Also we are getting rid of the communist ratio 1:4:10 between all sacred uniques, so we might have some itemtypes have different SU-SSU ratios, and there won't be necessarily just two SU versions of every item, there could be 2, 3, 4, who knows.

I like the idea of seasonal uniques. If I could like your post, I absolutely would.

Is there any plan for supporting non-ladder by adding the factor of legacy items? Or will ladder items always be terminated when a character is transferred to non-ladder?

What I mean by legacy is not necessarily nerfed items, I mean by rare seasonal equipment that only appears in certain ladders. Say for example that Danmaku was a Season 1 item only, but would never drop again in later seasons. When a ladder character gets transferred to non-ladder, are they able to keep it?

Yes. Your character will keep all secret seasonal items on them when the current season finishes and they get moved to non-ladder.

It is also worth mentioning that some seasonal ladder only items could make their way into the base game if they are liked by the community and we feel they add some unique options to the game.

Finally, thanks to Whist we now have a method of updating the stats on any existing item if we wish to do so. This means that if there is something broken it can be fixed straight away and not be useless for an entire patch cycle (as is the case now).

That's so awesome that you want to make this a regular thing! Hypetrain on track again. Damn, Sigma will have a lot of awesome changes. :D
