If you're looking into cata, I'd recommend pally.
Mana is more of an issue but your life regen and cast speed are better.
You can use Krys pally helm for 250 MAEK, helxis belt for mana regen and MAEK and then MO rings with regen. That should help a decent amount.
Dual weild cata stick makes it very difficult to get 130 fire pierce so it's just not that useful to do it on a barb.
Pally gets more DR, more casts per second, more life regen and it just looks cooler haha

Catapal was done two times, fullvit & block (for this one I even had a video

) versions, I've had enough. Only looking into alternatives, just for lulz.

I personally enjoy seeing if certain oskills are viable. You might enjoy the same.

I did it last patch. It was pretty strong but after the Neph Spirit got Hella nerfed it isn't as good.
Still possible, just not that good.

hmmmm, baba can get even more dexterity than assassin (nasruddin xis, mountain king), use gladiator's passive for block (or an off-hand elxis knife + runemaster), and concentrate on magic damage solely. he won't have doom though. attack frames are 9 vs 7. might be fun. stance eagle or wolf

or even snake w/ maxed synergy :lol:

only problem is lack of the skill source besides the tu knife, which is low base damage to scale dex ewd with, unless you pick up a cotw for it

even for assassin knife physical damage is not main source, main is flat dex magic dmg. but still, having this skill only on a tu knife seems kind of a random-ass decision...

Yeah oskills have gotten very little attention from the Devs.
They're mostly in random places, have bad synergy or underwhelming interactions with most characters.
Cata stick is a good example.
Fire and cold oskills, physical and lightning spell damage buffs? Yeah it's just stupid.
