there's a lightning resist armor and you can make lightning resist elixirs, seems like that's what you need for the boss that's wrecking you

Anyone played Planescape: Torment or Divinity: Original Sin? Kinda looking for something more D&D/crpg-style to pass the time and these 2 seem like decent choices.

I have divinity original sin. Mostly because it‘s a mp game that you can play with someone else. Sadly, when my friends are around we usually just listen to musIc or play other games. So yeah I couldn‘t test it out yet.

Does Divinity have a single-player campaign? MP/MMO-type stuff isn't really my thing. Takes me a long time to read stuff. All it does is slow everyone down.

Planescape Torment hands down best story in any game. Though the combat system is probably the worst in all of Black Isle (Obsidian) games, but i definitely recommend it.

If the story is as good as I'm led to believe, I can suffer through clunky combat.

Is the "Enhanced Edition" of Planescape worth it or should I try to find a copy of the original? Saw Beamdog's name attached to the EE and was immediately suspicious.

It‘s not a mmo type. It‘s only couch coop. And the story is the same in sp as it is in mp

Yes. The original game hasnt really aged that well and you will probably have issues running at your screen's resolution, there are mods that fix it but you probably dont want to go through the hassle. EE is upscaled to fit your screen (tho it doesnt have any other options that i can remember) with a zoom option if you want to take screenshots or whatever, so you probably want to go with EE instead of the original just for convenience's sake.
