that wouldn't work i think, as pierce is for physical/magial at once, and having -100% physical pierce would be way too op

I have seen mods with separate pierce for physical and magic dmg, so its not impossible.

That would be easy to implement but marco doesn't want this to be implemented as this would make magic damage just the same as other elemental damages. There's four main "damage classes" in MXL. Elemental (fire/cold/ltng), poison, magic and physical. Implementing pierce to magic damage would be like merging it into the elemental damage class. And I kind of agree with his point, that would basically reduce the variety of damage "styles" which is kind of already limited as it is.

Just reducing a little base magic resistance for enemies in general would work well to make magic damage more interesting. I agree base magic resist on heroics for example is kind of high.

Well, I never understood why magic is not a real spell damage, like fire/cold/lightning, and i still dont :)

To differentiate it from other damage types. Either way, this requires code editing to be implemented, meaning this won't ever happen before sigma.

I just hope that Limpet Laser will be able to trigger oProcs, then I am happy. Right now building around that skill is useless... Trieflingform is useless too, minimal bonuses for 0 defense.

When charm farming gets removed, will sig farming be the most annoying part of median then?

limpet laser is actually pretty good just try it in a cave, it even can 1 shot (or at least kill in less than 1 second) astro or belial. And you have access to phase bomb which is the best res piercing skill ingame

you have no idea what you're taking about . a caster build with limpet lasers and trieflingform can do all ubers except 2 or 3 that require respec .
