Hello everyone,

I want to upgrade my PC by getting a new GPU. So I asked the online store that I bought my PC from (I build it myself) whether the new GPU can be installed or not.

They said that there's enough space for the new GPU (GTX 1070), but they don't know whether the GPU would actually get enough cooling in the current case. So I thought maybe someone of you guys has an idea about that.

I use the Cooltek G3 case so I can put my PC under my table next to the couch in combination with my projector. (Big screen + playing while laying on the couch 8-) )
And I build another 2 Cooler Master Silencio FP 120 into it.

QUestion: Would the GPU get enough Cooling or should I get a different case?

So yeah, it's quite a specific setup so I don't think anyone of you can help me... but It'd be great anyway!

In any case, I'm looking forward to your replies. Thx in advance!

Get a Noctua NH D-14 and get a nice Corsair Case. Shouldn't be any more than $200. That's always a good combo.

Sadly, it doesn't fit. It's too big.
I could only add another 2 80 mm fans and/or replace my current 2 120 mm fans.

If you can get a blower style fan you shouldn't have any issues as most of the heat won't be dumped inside the case but through the back.

Something like the Asus Turbo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814126112 . Doesn't have to be exactly that but will give you the idea.

Another thing you could do if you are worried about temps is run software to really crank the fans before heat really becomes a factor and/or undervolt/downclock the gpu.

The last most expensive option would be to get a gpu with an AIO cooler (Either get one and the bracket yourself or buy straight from companies that offer it premade like that) and use one of your 120mm slots to exhaust most of the heat again directly out the case.

Hello,

I have my old PC and I bought it 7 to 8 years ago. It's really good, but its CPU will not work properly so I think that I have to purchase new CPU.

Always buy ASUS @HechtHetfig. Best quality in market, who doesnt agree needs to stop buying apple.

Other good brands like cooler master, corsair, intel, ( i dont really like AMD, but I fell in love with my processor AMD FX-8350 4.0Ghz 8X, which is just 100$ or less)
There are exceptions inside those brands, but well. ASUS GTX 10+ series are always gonna be good.

Wow and I thought I love summoning the dead... but you guys are definitely in the top rankings of ressurrecting threads :D

Just kidding ofc.

I haven‘t bought a new gpu yet. Mostly because I rarely ever play newer games anymore. Overwatch has turned to shit with the mercy-rework and doomfist implementation. And playing Symmetra all the time has become boring. Plus ever since I’m living in my new flat, I can’t control my mouse perfectly. I’m using that mouse on my couch after all and it’s nowhere near as precise as it was before on my desk. So the only reason to get a new gpu is gone and I don‘t plan on buying it anymore.
