From the info we have gotten so far, it seems that the release will be this month yes.

The "Median XL 2017" post says that the patch is expected to be released around May.

Another post from Marco (Like a few days ago?) said that some of the testing was finished, and that they are gonna do a couple of weeks testing.

It will be ready when it's ready. Just go out and start recruiting your pals to join up at the time the patch drops. Make them catch some interest.

hopefully, testing is in full swing and work is done daily on the patch to fix the bugs and do further changes... we r pushing hard to catch May as the deadline...

If you get it done in May, perfect timing. PoE will be on "hiatus" till 3.0 releases in (hopefully) Late June/early July
