If that is the case, narrows down choices by 1. Should there be enough -fire res, Tonatiuh RW would become obsolete, Wall of Fire, Wheel of Fortune, perhaps even high STR options might be better.

That seems...counterproductive. Only weapon to use Antediluvian would be a Sacred Mammen Axe. Insane innate fire damage bonus. Strength being the main stat complicates things. No more Svalinn . Shield choice along with it? Perhaps one could even use a Dawn dual wield.
