Tested a bit today in Scos. Sadly the damage just wasn't there. It was always slow, but it was just unusably slow now. It wasn't 0 damage and does kill mobs, but just not quickly enough. This was with a full set of +levels gear to amp the bats up, not using the assassin melee attacks for damage.

I tested bats. They worked kind of okay day 1, but now whenever I summon them they hard crash the game. Seems to be bugged.

My bats do great in lab with 1 lvl in batstrike. I use goetia plate with 200% minion life. %AR is absolutely a must for endgame content. Important to note, it looks like the patch notes are wrong. You get a bat every 5 levels, so you can get 6 bats now. That's a bit of added damage. Still not sure how you can ever make up for the penetration loss though.

You really are much better off with dex stacking over vit stacking. Attack rating is a huge issue, and dropping a claw offhand for Zayl's gives you 40-45% block and max res at the cost of 2 skills. Kind of. They do a tiny aoe and have massive issues farming endgame.

Most of those are purify fights, so any build really works. This build is huge damage when you can line it up, but really really lacking in all other cases. Bosses are either trivial or basically impossible.
