he definitely is. any high damage targeted spell is nice for astro

that %spell damage increase your elemental damage to weapon only for striking with the weapon (the direct melee hit . Moonstrike for example ) . does not apply to quillstorm or conversion spells (more physical damage = more converted spell damage) So using Mark Of The Wild will NOT boost any weapon...
