Why is it that when you equip an item with "-50% Target Defense" or "Ignores Target Defense" that your character page hit % doesn't automatically show up as 95%?

Blood Hatred - does the buff (life on attack, damage bonus, etc) last the entire duration? In other words, if I BH something (charge it fully) and then quickly swap to a different skill, will my attacks grant me health on attack for the entire 4+ seconds? Modifiers such as "Target takes additional damage of X"- Does this trigger on every 'hit'? For instance, every instance of a skill such as stormblast or deathgaze AND the procs that these abilities generate? Much dumber question - Are throw abilities 100% hit or dependent on AR like melee ...

I'm curious if there's any actual benefit to dual wielding as a barb as opposed to running a 2h axe. It seems to me that damage per second is less and the only real benefit is slightly increased stats and perhaps more attacks per second if you're somehow running a proc-based build.

The short answer: No. Damn. My other choice was a barb, I guess I'll go that route. Speaking of which, dumb question - if you're using a skill that requires a sword (Stormblast, for instance), and you're dual wielding a sword and an axe, would you be doing less damage than if you were DW two swords?
