Mahi, not sure what you mean by biased ? You asking which builds will be better end game ? No idea. I played melee dual wield frenzy tank barb and now i am trying melee zealot. Barb was doing very good for hatred difficulty and got raped in terror. I probably messed up build, not all charms and so on.
Not sure if i get enough time to try something ranged/caster after paladin is done. I do remember using bow for my barb to lure/kill some annoying bosses.

yea i do not want to waste 10 hours on some random build and then realize than its weak and unplayable

There is no fun to repeat what someone else already done. I think by end of act 1 you will get good idea how good your char might get later. It took me two days in total, first day few 2-3 of playing+reading+farming some spots, second day 2-3 hours steady walking to boss and exploring rest of act 1 dungeons + act 2 sewers and "fauzt" dungeon clearing.

Of course it is if you havent dont it by yourself.
What ISN'T FUN is wasting dozens of hours on questionable mod and failing in the end. Im thinking about WDM char right now, they usually suck AOE wise and are more gear-demanded, but it is possible to reach more or less meaningful sustain, which feels very crucial in that type of mods to me.

Probably it is going to be either barb or druid

Cant progress. Farmed blood moor for gold, but still cant do shit. Monsters deal insane damage, it doesnt matter if if double throw or fortitude, they wreck me instant.
I guess thats about Aftermath, not sure how to play it solo...

Nu bliat ty dajosh.... Try paladin for change then. Use 1 point into Blood lust - no lvl 1 tome at merc. Probably bug or intented to make you choose holy/unholy from start. 1 point is ok to waste at start. So after use your 10k gold for lvl 1 fanatism and lvl 1 zeal. 1hand wep and shield does a trick. Or you can use smite from starting wep. Don't concetrate on killing mobs like main target. Main target for you is to get gold - open chests, push rocks, enter house and so on. Sell everything you not using, even mats - its ok. Buy other lvl 1 tome for you unholy paladin (dont buy holy skills - doh). Each skill point synergies with dmg, hp and everything else. Cold plains is good area to run around and blood raven is easy with smite. She drops set item. Invest into str/dex at start - vit later. Buy 5k xp tomes, read in town for passing lvl limit, go out kill 1 mob, get lvl. Rush to resque cain - farm tristram for more set amulets/rings. Easy from there.
Get items with a lot of "atacker takes x-y" damages, it helps a lot.
