Addiction is addiction is addiction, and dependency is dependency is dependency. In all cases, every time.

It's incredibly common for people to have at least one chemical dependency (in my case, sleeping pills), And it's incredibly common for people to have severe clinical depression for no reason at all. It isn't fair to say that those people should stay away from certain drugs. Sure, some people can have a bad reaction to marijuana, but that doesn't mean it's bad, or is always the case. I have Tourette's, chronic tics, and marijuana amplifies it. So I don't smoke it. That simple. But if it's the miracle drug for others, then great.

Sobriety is also a great addiction for some, and brings them to their best. Unfortunately, not everyone is so lucky.

This song talks about what you reference "at least one chemical dependency"

Most don't take into account that sugar and caffeine are "drugs"

I don't really know much about addiction, never had a problem with ''legal drugs'' (alcohol, tobacco etc) the only ''problem/addiction/dependency'' comes from information. I'm reaaaaaally obsessed with thinking/lucid dreams.

It comes from my Insomnia since I was a kid, provoked by sleep paralysis, which made me understand how sleeping/dreaming works. That + having really good memory helps me thinking (remembering, thinking and imaginating stuff). Problem with my sleep schedule, which is fucked up by itself by the insomnia/terrors, is the ''thinking in bed''. Sometimes I found myself thinking on god knows what story which snowballed so hard the sun is already up. ZZzz

I like it, im good at it. And I dont wanna stop. Addictions are in base a way to escape ''reality'', even if your reality isnt bad. Just a way to be ''free'', at least IMHO.

Not to be a dick, but being a daydreamer, and having an addiction aren't really even in the same ballpark. And if you think to an unhealthy level of excess, it would then be a mental health issue before it would be addiction.

Lucid dreams are really awesome. It's much more fun than taking drugs. I can imagine someone getting obsessed with it since I personally know someone who is. But I wouldn't call it an addiction either.

Not to be a dick, but @Heathen, thats why I said ''problem/addiction/dependency''. But from my point of view, is the only thing that really makes me want more/need more. Not alcohol, not tobacco, not sex (idk about hard drugs cause I dont really care about those/tried them)

Like @HechtHeftig said, lucid dreams are simply perfection for me. You have no idea how many times I relived the same fucking dream over and over and wanted more of it. And as stated on my first reply, it's not a ''problem/addiction/dependency'', but it's the closest thing I know to it.

Everything I do, tend to get My focus of life, instead of normal. But thats fine, can live with it pretty good. At least I cant say I havent tried my best ;)

Used to be cocaine for me, now just nicotine and alcohol. I've been about a week sober from alcohol now but only because I haven't had access to any. Just walking over to the store and buying isn't an option because under 21, so just have to wait until I get a chance to steal again. Luckily smoke shops don't care.

Weed, Porn, Gaming(median). At a stage of my life i started smoking and playing median again was pretty clean for atleast last 7 months. But also inbetween jobs at the moment.

I was at a point where I was really clean not smoking and not drinking but I had to focus a lot on BJJ and couldn't focus as much on my relationship. Being sober makes you deal with how shitty life can be and the only way you can get "high" is by achieving more in life (more money, better relationships with people, focusing on your dreams, and learning about yourself)

Still learning.

Kinda funny that you used to get cocaine but now you can't get simple booze?
