I didn't have access to the beta discord that was the issue. Had to login via patreon and give patreon rights for my discord account. The instructions only said "use the same email on discord, forum and ingame" I had that but missed the need to authenticate patreon. Got access now.

Might be a bit of an 'out of the box' solution but you could try overthrowing your government. If that's too much work just to play a silly game, maybe try a VPN?

I hope this time I can get support and ensure frequency for at least 4 seasons a year. Otherwise, in half a year, more players will leave...

Should have had the ability to gift beta years ago. Discord supports stuff like this directly now. No need for patreon for beta, especially if mainland Taiwan has to use a VPN just to get on the mxl discord. Just my two yuan anyway

Anyone who really wants to try beta and cant use patreon can always message me.

I love Median XL. I've been playing it for many years now. The gaps between seasons are growing farther apart, and even the testing phases are taking longer. I've watched players around me gradually drift away because of this, which is truly disheartening. It's a great game, and I hope it can operate sustainably for a long time. But the reality is, the player base keeps shrinking. We hope the development team can address this issue.
