On one hand i like what was changed because more mobs - more xp/loot, a little more challenging when 1hKO mobs change regular locations.
On the other hand i am not sure how this works for freshly joined people. Steamrolled by gang of mobs ? forced to narrow choice of best crowd control skill ?

It's true that challenge patch might hurt the inclusion of new players, but that's what sigma will all be about. This ladder is a nice way to say goodbye to the d2 on steroids which we call ultimative, just by making it more ultimative.

So enjoy every moment. Sigma is going to be great, but in a different way, more smooth, decompressed, straight forward. I know some people love the wild aspect of median so that's what this patch is about. So far the feedback has been great so we're very happy, especially since this was not our initial plan and we came with this idea on the fly and turned out very well.

I wish the difficulty could stay this way in Sigma lol. Haven't had this much fun since first playing MXL. :D

Don't really care if this takes place but the regular game is no more a smooth breeze. And, literally, every single monster now prolonges your xp line when killed. I think, it's good :)

It only means that you hit xp cap for the current area faster. Then you still have to clear the rest of the area and it gives meh xp. Overall it feels like the usuall mess from kurast areas was spread all over the acts. 1st run is like - oh wow this mob is here now, k rejoin. Next runs - same grind as usuall.

thats bs, the game has a tendency to leave you underleveled. idk maybe you are one of those guys who farm gift box or something. but if you run the game at p1 & no rerunning you will see yourself mostly underleveled, esp once you finish terror a1 at level <= 60 and a2 at level <= 70. Just as a reference terror arcane will give you good exp until level 90. So that's about ~6 full clears to get yourself back to reasonable level.

I noticed that too. Usually I was very careful and avoided many monsters in Terror Act 2 in order not to get extra xp so I could hit lvl 88-90 right before Lost City (LC2). This ladder I did the challenge on lvl67. Didn't think about xp scaling, just procceded straightforward.
