Yeah, it appears that frigid sphere is the winner here. The damage is high, it ticks multiple times and you can cast it and keep moving. I've cycled through most of the classed looking for that same sort of skill and there's nothing.

Necro can swap between blink and bend the shadows, which covers ground quick, but you have to kill things in order to get the xp. Sorc has a huge advantage getting FS at level 1

Had an inkling, especially after I remade the skill last patch.

Yeah, most classes unlock their good skills later :\
I am thinking about giving holy melee pala a go, retaliate can 1shot things with plague i think. But again, lvl 6 for solar flare, lvl 12 for plague, could be a significant time loss.

I've done a few runs through act 2, but was behind pace and drastically outleveled to the point of gaining no experience even though getting to that point did not feel underleveled in terms of kill speed. You'll need a build that can level as you move in one or two casts per mob, which largely depends on what level you can access certain skills depending on what you're running. That's why cold sorc excels quite a bit for this.

Also, solar flare is lvl 1.

Oh, well, still doesnt change the fact that you probably need plague from lvl 12 to truly 1shot enemies.
