Another day - another patch.

Seriously, was content even tested before release ? Issues like jinn, sin crashes, skill fixes and so on seem like a mandatory task to test since people will be using that right away. You lack man power to do that or this is new approach "let community test it and we will update daily" ?

and they messed up wereowl prior and now javazon,how the F are they testing it?not to mention the new poison boss was super tanky for an 110 dungeon and you could just leave and reenter to heal urself,making the "potion effectivness reduced" not an issue.and now,the legion boss is retarded,multiple times i accidently destroyed the pillars because of the aoe spells and hell broke loose,there would happen so much sh1t,the screen would lag and after the fight theres too much loot.
and btw,there were no info that tran athula's way point changed place and it doesnt show on map,no info what new boss's charm gives,or what stas corruption gives or that you may get a rare sacred from using a zod enchanted rune and nothing else from a box >:(
druid minibosses are not tested too,hunter deals too much damage,while wereowl only runs around after using the spike attack,and only later the nerfed the aura lmao
jewelcrafting eats too much gold,3mil gold vanishes so fast whle trying to make some nice jewels,its ridiculous

Well, this beta and testing cycle in particular shared an unsteady ground due to several internal issues and that translated in a lack of polish compared to usual standards. But, that aside, it is pretty natural to expect major and minor issues to be discovered after a release, happens everywhere and in every field... and sigma patches are massive, the mod itself big enough that often changing things for the better in one aspect could ripple negatively somewhere else. Furthermore finding X number of issues on release doesn't paint an accurate picture of an unoptimal testing phase for the simple fact that those X bugs could aswell be the 1% that wasn't detected during testing; luckly bugs/unwanted behaviours are usually shortlived as soon as a solution is found (the number of minor patches can attest to that).
Anyway, as stated before, unusual circumstances surrounded this latest release and to put it colloquially: "shit happens". No need to make of this a bigger deal than it is. Also please use the Bugs&Feedback thread for bugs and feedbacks, thx.

Jinn went mostly untested because everyone knew totem spec already worked from the previous season.
Assassin crashes were actually not reproducible in SP or Beta realm as it was a RAM issue on very specific GS (some of our nodes have 512mb ram).
"skill fixes and so on" not sure what this means as the "hotfix" kind of implies there will mainly be fixes.

This patch implemented a lot of new and really powerful missile tech - some of it a result of D2 Fileguides being released within D2R exposing some functionalities we were unaware of, blended with some new tech of our own. This is a lot of unexplored territory and there's gonna be issues, meanwhile you're just making snarky remarks because we're doing frequent and fast updates while most AAA companies take weeks to address much bigger issues?

I think we all have to remind yourself that in the end this is a passion project. Devs like most others has to work so they can feed their families. Beta testing was going on to the last moment and they where still throwing out patches for the beta up to if I recall the day before 2.1 went live. All in all bugs or not.. we all love this mod and as such sometimes we forget that there is only so much time in a day. Cant wait to see what they come up with next, maybe some day Scosglen will have nice rewards :twisted:

thanks devs for a passive updates, issue i seen so far, if I would stock all loot i would have thousands of Arcane set AMulet, and where can I find the javelin for java set? :lol: :lol:
