The Judgement avatars have a shield now? I never would have had a chance against two heroic shields doing it the assbackwards way I did on my assassin (apples, Life When Struck, potions, damage reduction and reduced damage taken, running in circles like a retard on fire to slow down the incoming hits, etc). Also, I've always used Bane Monsters for stationary minions, do Daystars have more health or something? Just liked the way Bane Monsters splatter when they die.

And I always used Ice Elementals on my sorc for that kind of thing, because I always had the skill smaxed (or close to it). They get pretty beefy and are relatively unobtrusive visually

Faster Hit Recovery does indeed help, as will Faster Block later if your character uses a shield. Also, lots of enemies have that stun debuff (two swirling blue/white orbs over your head) that makes you get stunned anytime you take damage. Also, any hit that deals more than 1/12 of your HP in one blow will send you into hit recovery as well, random chance aside (and Median enemies hit pretty hard if you don't have unusually high HP or good gear). In Median it's much more important than in vanilla to actually avoid attacks when you can, because there's so much more crap hitting the fan at any given time. Most of the time, I find that dying in the early levels happens exactly because of stunlocking. The more stuff you fail to avoid, the more you get stunned, the more stuff hits you... the faster damage overcomes any potions or healing you may have

I read a long breakdown of slow effects which answered a lot of questions but one remains

Since Slow Target from items is applied on striking, is it possible to slow things physically immune things like necrobots with a weapon with high Slows Target %?
I have noticed that on strike procs don't work on them unless you break the immunity but I am hoping it's different with Slows Target coming from a weapon+snake stance

How important is getting attack rating if you're a wdm class that stacks strength?

In Addition to The Slow question, is it possible to Slow Down eg laz with snake stance? Is it exactly the same slow modifier as it would spawn in a weapon?

Well if u increase your dmg but don't hit anything with the strong attack there is no sense. I would say it's really important. But I guess In Mid game a balance between highest dmg and highest attack rate possible is the best. I think its better than smax dmg or smax attack rate.

As another said, it isn't a heroic shield, but another shield (I guess sacred armor). The thing with it is that they're immune to all attacks until it drops and during that time they would often rape all of my summons and then aggro onto me.

In regards to Bane Monsters vs Daystars, it doesn't seem to matter (which was why I was asking why he specific Daystar originally). I know that Daystars are immune to Fire, Bane are immune to Lightning, and Shredders to Cold. So depending on what you're using them for that "could" matter, just not for Jday.

Even on said classes, I've never seen attack rating matter until uberlevels or bosses. Get a bit on some rare jewels found through luck or some otherwise good tiered uniques, and you'll have plenty. Eventually, 90-95% hit chance becomes pretty important because a lot of later bosses will actually heal (and quickly) or take severely reduced damage if you don't hit them basically every swing throughout the fight. Also, normal monsters don't have enough defense that it becomes problematic (or enough attack rating that your defense matters all that much), but uber enemies have greatly increased stats and can dodge quite a few attacks if your rating isn't overkill-high. The first time I thought I was going to take a stroll through Bremmtown on my assassin with my badass 250k defense (normal stuff basically couldn't touch me) I got a nasty surprise
