Yes, but iirc you have to use corresponding char with its char orb to be able to do it right. Correct me if im wrong.

Yup, where the brains come from don't matter. A character can only cube them with their class charm.

yeh, Mephisto is a pal of mine by now.... should probably visit him more as soon as I figure out the right gear. I am wearing Jitan's Kamon(4)

orb gear with what?

Look at documentation and see what level / stat requirements t5 and 6 require. If you can upgrade all of your gear to 6 it will vastly improve everything.

I'd MO Things with 15% enhanced def until you hit 345-350

Past that supplement what you need with orbs. Use pgems to get as high max resists as you can, that will also help a lot in A2 fire and poison are killer. you'll want 80-85 of all resists

also i am not super familiar with how many acid fiends you get per 1 point, but if you have any amount of targets for monsters to focus instead of you, it helps. In levels like Kurast 3000 you can summon ahead of yourself for the bone warlocks and archers to focus while you take out the tower. I know without summons on that level I'd be toast with my sorc.

What quiver are you using? I'd use the ctc arrow on striking and get the lucky bonus with it. Also I'd use tu chain boots instead of tu light plated. The chain boots give a nice bonus to life, stats, and defense.

For your rings, orb with ctc thunder hammer and -resists if you are using a ton of elemental damage.

Keep in mind, unless you do some serious theorycrafting and cheese her strengths, your assassin will never be tanky. Also would help to know your current build. If you can work with timing, backstab will do the trick. You're immortal while attacking. You see his red aura, lure him into it, and back to backstabbing.

If you're dying at Binding of Baal (not an insult, just information here) then you're doing something wrong with your assassin or misunderstanding some mechanics. Binding can be done naked on an assassin (or probably just about anything) with almost any weapon that allows you to use skills. Assassins are never meatshields, even with stupid-high Avoid% and 75% block, and on top of that the Horadric Mages in Binding pierce elemental resistances (at something like 200-250%, says so right in the documentation, means you need like 350 resistance to cap out at 75%). Even at 75% resist, they hit like a train, and they're supposed to... that's why they have relatively slow-moving spells like Nova and Elemental and becoming Baal drastically increases your move speed. You aren't surviving the fight very well because you aren't supposed to get hit at all, and that goes for the assassin just about everywhere, especially in ubers. Blink (the stunning teleport ability) is one of your best friends, both for offense and defense. If you see an arrow coming and stuff's almost dead, take it right to the face and it probably won't matter... but standing in a hail of projectiles will get you blocklocked/dead, and that's why assassins have so many movespeed/teleport skills.

Until you're trying to do Destruction ubers for farming and charms, your gear doesn't matter all that much as long as you're careful. Perhaps spend a little time learning to actively avoid damage instead of trying to negate it with gear, that's my advice. You'll come out way ahead in the long run

For binding of baal you must stack resistances, then socket your stuff with gems to get more max res and even more res since they pierce a good amount of your resistances. With blink you can stun tal rashas bros. I don't know your build but most ubers/bosses are hard for a melee sin and easy for a ranged one. A sin always has enough damage, that's why I focus on survivability.

heathen: thanks, well i haven't done any theorycrafting since I started MXL and I have to look into the documentation and this site for cheese. all I know is -fire res, -pois res, +fire spell dmg, +pois spell dmg. and get +fire & pois spell dmg jewels on sockets on a few items. i'm still clueless as to what should I go for when it comes to items.

I dunno how to calculate boss stats and damage vs my damage and survivability yet, so I might get into that in the future.

Nitz: thnks for that max res info. my build is melee nagisin going for shunpo, rest of my stats goes to mana/energy. maybe later i'll go for the butcher then TA next if i can get better stats for RWs later.

Murreh: thanks. its a good thing that I reskilled my sin more into blink before the binding of baal earlier helped a lot weaving in and out of those projectiles. welp, i really need to restrain myself and do more reading/research before going into ubers nxt time.

+fire spell damage doesn't increase your damage by much (character screen lies!). That only works for melee hits, it doesn't work with shunpo, or the area effect of the nagi. And with way of the griphon you need -lightning res.

If you follow the link I posted you will be able to deal with most ubers without any gear, then you can farm yourself an auhe and unformed land to get a kabraxis rune to get make
Nero
and the upgraded version of
Craton
Craton
Boots

'UmLem'
Runeword Level: 58
1% Chance to cast level 7 Shower of Rocks on Melee Attack
3% Chance of Crushing Blow
+(21 to 25) to all Attributes
5% to Vitality
Elemental Resists +10%
Physical Damage Taken Reduced by (16 to 20)
(31 to 40)% Bonus to Defense
(1 to 10)% Gold Find
(1 to 10)% Magic Find
+(1 to 10) to Light Radius
<- this one is 2 jewels, cham, kabraxis rune (in that order). Best boots for melee class. Don't torture yourself by getting all charms with a sin melee build. The on attack procs don't work with shunpo - you got to deal real melee hits like barrier strike/crucify/shadow refugee for that and use shunpo to blink, a good combination of barrier and shunpo wrecks packs of mobs and crucify single mobs. Shunpo sin is all about good items, I follow my guide, farm stuff, switch to nagi late game.

A good early game shunpo armor is the kra runeword, boosts your survivability by much. With lvl 120 remake this armor, oil of luck bonus and MO with +ed to 350 before adding the rune, that way you will get most defense out of it, but don't add more than 13 MOs.

rest of my stats goes to mana/energy??!?

For twin fang strike or why? If you have mana problems make some ber crafted jewels to get life and mana leech, then hit with barrier strike to fully reg.

Nitz: yep, for twin fang strike and i got 2 casual points into shadow refuge and backstab. i have mana and life on strike in my honorific nagi for now. i switch between Na Krull TU for damage and my honorific for leeching. i don't have the jewels yet.

i'll read your guide when I get home later and maybe do some tweaking on my sin towards your specs. hoping that I can get to farm or do the butcher after those hehe 8-)
