Diablo II: 1.14 supported!

I recently decided that was I tired of this D3 bullcrap game, and decided to go back to my roots.
Downloaded the game from Bnet and the game is a 1.14b version. What can I do to play the MediaXL?

maybe read the main post of this thread? as in the reason this thread was made.

Will this work with 1.14b?

I tried installing the 1.14b from Blizzard, then I copied and replaced the files linked, and it says something about a corrupt data mpq file.

Did you unzip the contents? Try again, uninstall D2 and delete the folder.

1. Install D2: LoD.
2. Extract the contents of https://tsw.median-xl.com/multiplayer.zip to the D2 folder.
3. Download and extract the contents of http://get.median-xl.com/ to the D2 folder.
4. ??
5. Profit!

Any chance to fix cinematic errors, w/o disc?

ps. reinstalled with the latest ver. 1.14b, and did everything right. I'm in game, but when i try to run d2mr, the d2 process hangs.

pps. fixed all of this by downloading the blizzard game downloader 1.14b and copied the d2xvideo etc, into a folder.

I'm having trouble installing this with the Blizzard installer.

I'm getting an error:



I've gone through the ten-step guide several times now, and restarted/reinstalled several times. I've re-downloaded the mod file and blizzard installers, so I'm positive the integrity of my installation and mod is fine.

I'm also able to run the game normally before I unzip the files in multiplayer.zip. However after I unzip the files and try to launch via D2SE.exe, it crashes when I hit 'launch plugin'. It throws the below error:



I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

The basic gist of it as I understand it is:

Install D2, D2: LOD via Blizzard Launchers - the version will be 1.14
Install D2SE mod manager
Install (unzip) Median Mod into D2SE Mod Manager Folder
Unzip "multiplayer.zip" into D2 game folder, overwrite
Run the registry file in registry.zip
D2SE should now be able to launch Median and connect to multiplayer with no errors

Am I missing something? Any ideas?

D2SE is not compatible with 1.14, try skipping that step and see how it goes.
