Could someone tell me why sky scorcher's beacon buff is not working if i unequip the item? o.O

The velocity buff should remain either way but the random nukes only work if sky scorcher is the active weapon.

Yes but killspeed isn't really a problem, survivability is more important (Reanimates) and -enemy poison res is a huge dmg bonus!

Do items with a huge amount of +skill for a class skill work for that class, or is it like clod where its capped at +3?

Yes capped at 3.

If it says (specific class only) after the skill, I am pretty sure you get the full amount added.
