playing psn sorc, has anyone ever found a situation where it was better to use carpet of spiders over lorenado?

If you want to decrease number of sprites to prevent lagging (Lorenado + on kill procs like Fire Cannonade)?

Spiders themselves have a shitload of sprites though with the amount of spiders from one cast.

so in other words carpet of spiders is overall inferior and the only reason to use it over lorenado is for engine limitations?

Carpet of spiders has a much longer targeting range & much longer effect duration. So you can hit & run more effectively with it if you needed to.

Does a witches pwnce ignore immunity shields?

I don't think so since the witch deals damage (phys or magic - don't know).
therefor the shild would absorb it.

I'll probably try it out tonight, they deal 50k phys and 50k magical according to the docs.

Witch Pounce deals 50k Phys/Magic damage and ignores res/phys&magic def and Invulnerability shields (Sacred Armor, Rathma's Chosen, etc)
