where have you searched?
Clicked on Forum, Clicked on search bar, typed Mana Sorc, looked through 5 pages with no references appearing, changed to Mana Dmg, checked first 5 pages with no reference popping up. If there was something on the 6th page, I apologize.

It's a type of physical/magical spell, but it's not boosted by physical/magical spell damage affixes because it's mana based. It's in its own category
Even though it's not boosted, would an enemy with negative resistance take more damage from it?
Well its still a damage type, so if an enemy has -phys/magic resist, then it will take more damage, similar to a regular melee attack at clvl1 that does 2-4 with a short sword in blood moor. If you make him fight a fallen one with -100% phys resist, it will do 4-8
