Secret Elemental Runes
On Destruction difficulty, in the Teganze uberlevel, you can come by Elemental Essences and Runestones.

You can cube them to get the Elemental Runes and Xis Rune:

Elemental Essence + Runestone → Elemental Rune
Elemental Runes (all 6 different) + Runestone → Xis Rune

What do you mean random? You cube the elemental runes with a runestone and you get a xis rune.

If you are referring to enhanced xis runes, like ElXis, you get them by cubing the xis rune with the appropriate regular rune.

RUNES
means you need to find 7 runestones and 6 different essences for a XIS

RUNES
means you need to find 7 runestones and 6 different essences for a XIS

To elaborate what kolyeah8 has stated.

Do the following.

Combine in your cube, one at a time:
Combine 1 Runestone with 1 Earth Essence, this gives you an Earth Rune
Combine 1 Runestone with 1 Fiery Essence, this gives you a Fire Rune
Combine 1 Runestone with 1 Icy Essence, this gives you an Ice Rune
Combine 1 Runestone with 1 Lightning Essence, this gives you a Light Rune
Combine 1 Runestone with 1 Magic Essence, this gives you a Magic Rune
Combine 1 Runestone with 1 Venomous Essence, this gives you a Poison Rune

Now with those 6 runes you just created, combine them in the cube with 1 Runestone, this gives you an Xis Rune.

If you want to get some of the enhanced Xis Runes, you just combine it in the cube with whichever one you want and you get the new rune.

Examples:

Ral-Xls
Eth-Xls
Sol-Xis

...etc.
