What are some of the best weapon choices for unholy caster paladin? Is it still a rare staff as explained in the old guide?

Thanks cowking :).

New question/problem: Valthek (Yshari Sanctum) doesn't spawn godsmen. Is there any way to fix that? I got both sets equiped but can't use the spells because there are no godsmen spawned. Valthek only casts his fire, lightning and blink spells...

SU War Staff is an excellent option too. Crafts will help you with heroics. Focusing on one specific spell damage and getting it as high as possible along with enemy resists is usually where crafts can do wonders.
I don't mean to dwell...but I can't help myself.

Summon some edyrems near valthek, then he will start spawning godsmen

I have two / three questions: can invisible monsters be cursed (i.e. vindicate)? How much damage does level 44 doom add? Do monster resist it? What I mean is: assuming a doom cursed monster with 50% physical resistance, is the damage 1/2 WDM + doom damage or 1/2 WDM + 1/2 doom damage (using normal attack skill as example)?

Bonus question: is doom damage triggered by spells or by WDM skills only?

invisible monsters: I think so but I'm not 100% , should be easy to test

damage: no idea, but imo it's way overrated ( has a hard points synergy )

resist: it's physical damage, necrobots for example are immune to it ( your second guess is correct )

it's triggered by physical damage, spells included ( like singularity ) but NOT by 100% elemental WDM ( like stormblast )

I'm kinda newb so I don't know, but I guess it would add up nicely with multihitting skills like tantrum (yes, I'm trying suchbalance's tantrumdin guide out :P ) especially with TTaD which basically doubles doom damage.

yeah moar damage never hurts ofc, just pointing out it's more "popular" than "must-have"

Just wanted to ask, is it possible to "craft/upgrade" magic item to something usable while still maintaining the stat it dropped with? (For example tantrum) Or should I just shrine-it until I get what I want? :D

The only way to "upgrade" a magical item would be to re-roll it based on it's item level.

Make sure it's ilvl is 99 (unless tantrum has a max ilvl restriction), then simply use shrines.
