M17 1.1.3 Bugs&Feedback

Kinda pissed about this one honestly. Used Larzuk recipe to add sockets to this bow and went to socket Jah runes and found out it only gave me 1 socket.

Larzuk is supposed to give max sockets for the tier, yet I got one? If it's working properly, perhaps that should be explained somewhere that it only gives 1 socket. Seems pretty shitty.

In vanilla Larzuk gives 1-2 sockets to magic and 1 to rare+ items. Isn't it the same?

yeah larzuk as always gives max amount of possible sockets according to the items ilvl. ilvl99 items will always get their max socket amount. be aware that in median class specific can be the exception , iirc naginatas get 1 socket only on larzuk quest, but maybe someone else can confirm or deny this. but thats what we have jewel recipe for, but it wont work for eth items, for those you really just have larzuk's reward.

White items (and eth) get more sockets according to the items ilvl as Prime_Evil said

That way you can happily reduce the number of each minion to 5-6, which gives you 12 minions per minion type at the very most (if I calculated correctly). That's enough for a summoner to be tanky, but you can also increase the base stats of the summons. +necromancer minions as an item stat can then be completely removed.

Pro's of this change:
+Only those builds that really put points into overlord can profit from summons. That would make Totemancer a bit weaker since you'd have to spend points into a skill that doesn't profit you very much. Same with other builds.
+Overlord comes back I loved Overlord back in the days.
+useless VK is finally gone!
+You can easily buff/nerf the whole build without relying on one certain item--> better balancing possible

Another possibility would be replacing VK with a ranged summon. Give them a low amount of possible summons (like 3 at max) and give it some kind of AoE attack (like an arrow chain that hits 3-4 enemies.) because summon necs sure lack AoE damage unlike any other build. Even summoner zon has an AoE inplemented in the summon, and Median has a huge monster density, that's why summoners are almost always bad, if they don't get the damage from somewhere else.

Pro's of this change:
+You don't need to rely on a merc for AoE damage anymore, which means you won't have to stop farming unqiues as soon as your money is gone.
+AOE FINALLY!
+you can reduce Howling totem's damage buff (because it's crazy strong af. I'd rather see it only giving CB and maybe DS or OW, but the last one is just my personal wish That way you can also increase the damage from summons by a lot because the physical damage from howling totem is greatly decreased)
+useless VK is finally gone!

I have very mixed feelings about where I stand on the Veil King.

On one hand, I think he's really cool. Has an AoE Instagib, and one of the overall strongest reanimates in the game. On the other, i'm starting to dislike the RNG nature of such an overpowered one shot mechanic. Especially on a minion that is absolutely doomed endgame because of the hostile on-death mechanic, a joke that has run its course at this point.

I'd be for the Overlord replacement, compared to the situation we have now.

Small suggestion, I think to make it easier to check median version in game there need to be something that telling Median version in Credit page, or in splash screen, below the "Some right preserved" add the version number for future release. Therefore we can check if people actually download the right patch.

did another clean install a few minutes ago, even used d2se and still cant play the game. keep seeing errors like these,
