after v2017s changes, what benefits do you think you get out of using 2 claws over claw+shield as melee?

Here a short test Claw Sin farming D-Fauzt, don't need to use any health potions.
what's the gear setup here? also, regardless of how stupid it sounds, I am pretty sure it's doable with dual claw :D

Everything is in descriptions of the video. I tried to max the damage output, so the gears might not be optimal. You might want to replace some items for a more balanced Sin.
There are many ways to build a Sin: Throwing sin, nagisin, and Limpet laser sin can get most charms easily.

The benefit is going balls deep survivalist style and show the world that if one claw can do it then two claws can do it even better!

Nice video you got there iamq1803 but it can obviously be even stronger than that. For first instance sin has great benefits from his innate skill blood bath wich gives him laek equal to 3% of his total HP (the more hp you got, the more laek you will get). Other than that, noctule is a bosskiller skill rather than farming since it multihits a lot. Depending on your playstyle and prefferences you can go for full WDM batstriker by using judge xis or just simple judge rw and the allmighty hail rw, both on scissors katars. You will need to focus your gear on sustaining the ways damage, that means you need to get sots or 6xis armor for the pierce and other pieces like crafts in gloves and boots. Nero belt is great, dementia is awesome, but deadfall is also very good for this build. As a helm you can go for the classic royal circlet tiara, or if you are rich you can opt in for reapers helm since the extra fire pierce never hurts. Rings can be rares with +1 sk, ctc supernova or ctc unseelie curse, and pierce depending on your needs. Amulet can be a classic doom amulet with skills and pierce, banish one is great too, klaatu is very nice, dyers eve suits and supports the build, while beads of the snake queen is best of course. For buffing you should obviously use qarak's or +16 bloodlust shamanka, qarak's is better, and sky scorcher cause speed is mandatory for a sin. Sockets should be filled with ll%, dex, fhr, ias, life jewels depending on your needs. Stats is full dex for more damage. Skill plan should be (assuming you use taha gloves and 6 fire armor) as it follows smax ways, pb, 1 point all bat tree, 1 point shadow refuge, rest in blink. As playstyle, always remember to hit with bloodbath from time to time to maintain the buff up (if you have adrenaline rush the buff lasts 15 seconds), same for shadow refuge (50~ seconds with adrenaline rush) and constantly release wdm novas to spread your ways damage 2 screens away. Every monster you hit you will leech from it. You just keep up the attacks, procs will do the rest. It might be a finger killer playstyle in the beginning but once you are used to it you will farm D-Fauzt faster than a nagisin. Have fun and sorry for the big wall of text. Hope it helps.

I love dual wielding on every game (it's sexy) so it's a great shame that MXL has lately crippled barbs and assas dual wielding abilities.

it is crippled without reason, but d2 engine have problem with hard-coded animation thingy

i remember laz mention that if you try to do dual-wield + median super speed, some attack might not trigger properly because animation got skip.
additionally you cant make skill work flawless between dual-wield (like batstrike) without some problem (batstrike 1hand strike is way slower than 1hand normal attack)

It's a shame that dual claw and dual wield are dead and have no skills, make it great again, so many people were lovin' them.
