Big Problem

Hi all, so i just started playing this and I'm facing a huge problem here...the game slows performance wise when I'm fighting enemies, the more mobs on the screen the slower the game performs/gets. I'm assuming this is an issue on the game's part. It seems like when your pc cannot handle the game which it should as i have a good computer. If anyone can help me solve this pls do so because i cannot enjoy the game like this and i would very much like to do so. Thank you in advance

Try changing video modes. If youre using D2D try using Glide , if using Glide try D2D , etc and check if there's any difference.

also -nosound can eventually help you getting rid of laggs.

you might want to try playing on TCP/IP that is if you play on single player because it is limited to 25 fps
at least test it out see how it goes, restarting game can also fix this sometimes for me at least

but some times "glide" doens't work correctly with all computers, for example i can't use "glide" beacause lag my game, get down of frame rates and is anoying try to kill 20 mobs or more i only can play with the orginal videos, and i like glide cause i can use 1024x764 window resolution

I usually play the game on windowed mode and that solves my issues mostly. If you use D2SE check on windowed mode, and if using regular launcher type -W. See if that helps you.

Well D2 can run only one processor core but that shouldn't be the issue here.
Are you running the game on compatibility mode?
