akarat - help

Hello guys, i need some help with killing akarat. first of all i'm playing as a trap rat. after 2+ hours of search in torajan jungle i finally reached him and failed cuz i didnt know i have to keep the adds close for his shield to drop. anyways i got that now. the point is that as a trap rat i attack randomly and its hard to focus an add and then kill akarat cuz i dunno what it's gonna attack. And then there are those damn annoying monsters that looks like tree form druid that just wont kill even if i attack em for 10mins straight they wont die. only with act 3 merc i manage to kill em but he dies often. the question is, is there a trick to kill akarat? something that must be done differently with trap rat? also is there a trick to killing those annoying mosters? thanks

Trees are very resistant to phys damage. try egg traps (100% convert to fire).

Try getting a blood mage or abjurer from act 3. If you manage to keep him alive he will help you alot. Also the gearing an act 3 merc is really easy. Just put any sacred rare gear crafted with either fascinating shrines for bloodmage or ornate for abjurer and socket either fire dmg runes or lightning dmg runes, MO some skeleton reanimates and you re done.

Or just get more elemental damage and pierce in your gear for Quill Storm to be more effective.

The Forest Keepers (treewarden monsters) use a buff when they get low on HP that massively increases their HP for a short time. Either get more damage to kill them faster or wait a few seconds for the buff to go away then kill them.
