Apart from what Fumbles suggested, that can be considered a bit more on the edge, I see no exploits. ModDB had these MOTY votations going on for years(and not without problems), if it has not protected the system until now I think it's fair to assume they're not exploits but built-in features

In the past there was a massive "incident" about this, and the laid back approach of the site's owners made a lot of people angry. I guess that has been solved since then...
