I tried playing a fire sorc for a while and it's pretty garbage. I've pushed it to 320% spell dmg and 140% res pierce and it's barely doing what some builds can do with a simple set. Most of the spells are just mechanically bad for the ever moving/teleporting bosses and it doesn't have the survivability of phys builds to comfortably farm anything.
So my question is: is it more or less the same for lightning and cold?
Has anyone tried lightning or cold sorc?

Obviously yes, that's just a regular SU, I got a pretty good one with max %pierce. It is pretty good because flamefront has a shotgun effect so adding projectiles to it is a great upgrade. It turns flamefront into your best single target spell too but since you have to be close and immobile while you spam it you can't actually use it effectively on most bosses. Just like any other fire spell really.
