How to build a good Corrupted Wormhole

I got the charm and I see the essences give (+3 to -5) to a stat.

If I'm reading that right, every time I cube one, I have more chance to make the charm worse than better.

So how do you ever make a worthwhile charm - is there some special knack to it? Or do you just stop when you get +6 ?!

So I'm guessing you mean Umbaru Treasure and not Corrupted Wormhole?
If so, then you are mistaken. It is -3 to +5. a 100% perfect roll can reach +125 all stats and the absolute worst possible roll -75 all. Thus a median of +50 all.

what was the highest MF roll corrupted wormhole anyway? I've seen quite high rolls!
