Fun character for starting?

I started an xbow nec and its just not my thing tbh. Whats a fun build to do. I've done holy melee and enjoyed it. Not a fan of summoning. Barb isnt that fun imo either. Not sure what to play? Any options would be nice tho. Just curious on peoples opinion

Maelstorm main attack pairs very well with lion stance for a shitload of magic damage, 1-shoting almost everything on normal. I remember 2-shoting duriel while the first shot took almost 3/4 of his total hp

I'm a noob to this game coming from Path of Exile. I'm using Ultimatum still in offline mode. But I find the Wyrd oskill to be pretty interesting. I was going to make an Amazon but I saw how popular Amazon is in general when they showed the stats from last season - so now I think I will make an Assassin Wyrd instead.

Sorceress is also pretty interesting because you can dump all your mana into Wyrd with a powerful attack weapon and then switch to a staff and cast Immersion when you're really low on mana. This is all the opinion of a noob who installed this week.

If you liked hammerdin type of play from vanilla d2, then hammerzon is great. High damage, with T4 TUs you can pretty much go through leveling to end game bosses. Highly recommended!

Hammerzon has terrible single target dps, so bosses are not easy, but kind of immortal when farming rifts.
