As title suggests, looking for guidance about this build, since I didn’t find any information in the guide section.
I have general knowledge of the game, but always had a hard time playing assassins. Made it to lvl 115, which for me is an achievement.

From my experimentation, Maxed Doom and Batstrike deals more damage than maxed WOTP and WOTG combined.

Did all lvl 105 and 110 ubers, except from King Koth, which is litteraly impossible for me at the moment.

Now that this block of text is done, what should I look for on crafts ? Skillwise, anything I can do except lowering Shadow Refuge related to my gear’s DR% ?

Merc is A5 with standard strength gear.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Just to confirm, you're not intending to use Noctule right? It's a great melee skill and works fantastic with Doom's TTAD. But I understand if not.

The other question is, with Batstrike, are you looking to be the main damage dealer and have your bats as tanks? Or to have them be your primary damage dealers (and tank) while you chill out behind them? Im a pleb, but i think you'll find the later to be a better option once you can get a few bats summoned. And if you do that, i would opt for some more defensive gear pieces. Toodles.

wait for a patch in which the melee assassins will be fixed . at the moment Batstrike is still very far from what it used to be some years ago , reason why you fail in 110- 115 ubers , you can just imagine what happens next (unless you can twink ). Noctule builds and TFS builds are more efficient if you want to play as claw+shield , but not even they can manage to do everything without feeling any pain . melee 'sin is squishy , regardless if claw or naginata .

I can agree with chuck, even noctule feels realy bad in terms of aoe damage. I dont find melee sins squishy, after they reach 50% block they are kind of tanky. Ive seen a nagi sin who had no problem to survive in rift 10+
But after all if you go with noctule it just feels wrong. And imo Noctule >>> batstrike.

I dont realy know how to build a batsrike sin. Dont you play it like a summon char with minion dmg / minion life gear ?

As for skills, i would recommend you to skip doom ( 250+ dmg per hit is no big deal) and max tiefling form. Sure you lose def. But after reaching max block and with your minions around you you shouldnt have problems to survive at all. Tiefling provides you lots of dex and +~6 all skills

I use bats as secondary targets, blinking in to stun mobs, activating SR and Bloodbath, then charge 3 times to release.

Damage output is great considering T4 gear is used. Finding abandoned shrines and Sacred scissors katar in rare format is the main roadblock here. Although Batstrike as a skill is surprisingly powerful against anything not possessing magic resist.

I can do K3BA easily, admitting I play smartly. It is what I consider makes the assassin cool to play. Skill-switch heavy, planned blinks and everything is fine.

Then I tried Library of Fate aka Khalimgrad. I get 2 shotted with SR on. I’ll farm gear, I cannot go any further with my trash :?

Manu: I did not put points in doom for the added damage. I want the - enemy magic resist. 3 charges of Batstrike makes a Thorn Wall like thing appear, dealing 200% weapon damage 25 times/ sec. 100% magic damage conversion

I played a Bat sin several patches ago.

I remember the Bats can be totally immune to Poison (innate), Fire, Cold, Light (with 100% minion resist), and with S-max Perfect being, they can survive anything, only Magic damage can really hurt them. Tankiest summon ever.

I tested on this patch, when I hoover the mouse to them (with 100% minion resist on Normal difficulty), the text only show "Poison immune".

So I am not sure if they are still Elemental-immune.

Pretty sure they are not. Will try with more minion resistances. As for now, they mainly serve as meatshields. They are good at that too.
