I wanna play a maelstrom focused throwsin and looking for a mini mini mini guide I can follow. Stats should be straight forward, I'm just unsure about the skills and gear/MOs/jewelery I should use.
Can someone give me quick guidelines I can follow please? Thanks in advance!

Void runeword throwing knife, max maelstrom, perfect being and some ways. Rest are pretty much optional. Stack every stat to dexterity and try to get ad much dex as possible. Try to get max block.

- maelstrom MKI (main dmg skill)
- perfect being
- Doom (support extra-dmg skill)
- Tiefling Form
- Prismatic Cloak (Ennead skill)
Optional:
- Beacon (Uber skill): 1 point
- Vampiric Icon (Blackroad skill): no need, due to MKI deals 90% magic dmg, only 10% of physical dmg counted to leech
- Shadow refuge (Naginata tree skill): 8~10 points, attack normal gets boost physical resist & movement speed

Set items: Tracker
Craft items: abandoned shrine
socket: Jewel Craft (Ber or Nih rune), rune Io (5% dex) for shield, Amerthyst (5% dex) for armors
-jewel for weapon & gloves: try to get 15% attack speed & cast speed
-jewel for armors (except gloves): try to get 15% block & hit recovery
ring: 1 skill, + 5% regen-mana from MO
amulet: 3 skill, + 5% regen-mana from MO

tracker set is terrible for maelstrom after lvl 110ish when you can start massively stacking dex crafts for 8k-10k dex. good midgame transition for early ubers and starting hell if you complete the set early, but dex crafts are better for maelstrom with doom
this build got hit hard in patch 1.2. Reduction of spikes per nova from 16 to 13 and also several skill levels worth of %dex to magic damage reduction. Still a decently fun build to play though.
Well, still far better than Median 2017 version, where the projectile exploded on impact. I think this is the skill that was changed the most during Median development. Every major iteration made some fundamental changes to how this works.
