Stat Rules:
No more then 1000 life repenish. (goodberry and titan strike allowed)
No fhr ias fbr fcr dr limits.
No Slow enemy limits.

Skill Rules:
Skills may not travel more than 3 screens.
No instant healing skills.
No skills that require walls. (lazor Limpet Rebound etc)
No immune shield skills.
No Auto-Target/Attack spells in Melee vs Melee duels.
No Passive attack spells (Beacon War Spirit Thunder God)

Resist Rules:
No more then 85% max res.
No more then 50 flat asborb and/or 15 percent.

Manners:
No naked killing. (kill a player that does not have their body)
No health potions.
No off-screen spamming.
No farming reanimates.
Both Players must say go/g to start a duel.
Draws count as a draw not who died first.

obviously there will have to be some changes and what not but heres a basic start i have

looking for ideas and thoughts from other pvpers

5 percent absorb, cfm alone has 10 percent, so no cfm?

what is 1000 life replenish? i dont rly understand it

does barrage travel more than 33 yards?
does voodoo shot travel more than 33 yards?

are minions allowed?

vessel of retribution vs melee is ok?
auto-target skills like symphony of destruction is ok?

I'm very skeptical.

Why wouldn't life regen be allowed? I mean, that could be a facet of a custom build, if someone wanted to theorycraft.

I just don't agree on the second thing. Not much else i can say other than those are fundamental affixes.

I guess I can see why you would remove slow. I can kind of agree.

And that range restriction is pretty uncool. I mean, sure, it gets rid of offscreen bursts, but aren't you then just shifting the handicap over by making melee closer to you? I'd say no to this rule. Besides, runspeed is everywhere. You can charge at the ranged players.

I think this needs heavily revised, but pvp in mxl would be cool, so keep at it.

I'm already very sceptical about PVP in median... I mean 2 days ago I joined a game and in the end we all just battled each other. But some builds are simply completely overpowered. For example lazydin (which I played). 1 hit of VoR and you're dead. 60k+ dmg with full DR is still 30k dmg. And considering that it doesn't require AR in the slightest, so you can't reduce the chance of being hit with armor plus the fact just how fast it attacks, you already kill everyone 1hit. There's absolutely nothing you can do. PvP as a lazydin:
Teleporting on somone... dead. Moving close to someone... dead. Just standing around against any melee... dead.

MXL is balanced on PVM not PVP. No rules can change that.

And btw. So you're telling me goodberry is allowed but Tainted blood isn't? Even though goodberry adds life in addition to defense and life reg? Doesn't make sense.

Having a restriction on life reg is imo unnecessary anyway. Considering just how high the dmg outputs can be, you're 1hit most of the time anyway. NN to restrict life reg.

@heathen. He didn't say no slow. He said "no slow limits". So you can have 95% if you want according to his rules.

tbh far spamming sucks too. making rules on run speed could deal with problems with run speed

Why don't we simply ban those skills that have more than 3 screens of range? That'd be that one sorc fire spell and mealstrom (and maybe some others as well)

well, it would make sense to ban some skill to avoid confusion. im not sure if i agree on the 3 screens restriction however
