Yes, like I said, Solar Flare is very uncomfortable to use compared to Terror Strike, I just said I don't disagree with the mechanic of having to precast something to cast other spells. Otherwise, I agree with your points.

Although I want to play Holy Melee, not Holy Caster, so I have no real experience with the spellcasting aspect of the Holy Tree

I played Holy Melee (Retaliator) for a bit and thought it was a lot of fun. I don't even mind the Solar Flare thing that much. You get used to it pretty quickly once you get your keybindings sorted out. The only problem I had with SF was getting distracted and messing up my timing, but that's more my fault than anything. Retaliate and Frozen Breath kept the hordes at bay, so defense wasn't a huge deal, and Vindicate and Incarnation offered plenty of sustain as long as there was something to kill/leech from. Dest Act Bosses, Ubers, and those blasted Necrobots were tough though b/c I couldn't seem to do much damage with Divine Judgement, even with Solar Flare and Colosseum active. But part of it could've been that I was still using TUs and 1h+shield for the extra speed and defense. Couldn't figure out what to use for mid-game gear, so I never made it to end-game.

Holy Melee seems to need a different mindset going in, something other than "it's melee, so imma just tank." The playstyle is a bit counter-intuitive too since you're a melee build, but the whole point is to keep pushing enemies away from you. As long as you can survive long enough to start Retaliating, and keep Retaliating, you're nigh unstoppable. But again, this is just from my own limited experience. Take it fwiw.

But since Stormblast is only usable with a SWORD it pretty much defeats the purpose of having this skill as a set bonus.

Up until now the only issue I have had is the game lagging really bad when I run into a lot of monster density. As of today though, and nothing has changed with my settings (I have no additional mods, just the game + Median), I am getting the above error when trying to open the game.

Edit: Don't know what caused it, looked through all the trouble shooting topics regarding that error message and nothing worked.... Rebooted my comp and magically the game is running? Duno but problem solved O.o

Hi all

What the !!!!! My skills points have reset to 0. Twice now. I just installed the new 2017 version, started a new Necromancer character and when I reach level 2, selected a skill, then a few minutes later I noticed the skill has disappeared. My skills went back to 0. I started a new Sorceress. Got to level 9. Seemed to be going OK, then what the !!!! My skills reset to 0 and all my newly-learnt spells disappeared. Back to 0 again. The attributes were unaffected. Even resetting my stats/skills did not give me back my skill points. Sitting on 0. What is going on????? I am going to be uninstalling very shortly. What is causing my skills to vanish?
