The whole reason I started this build was because I had 3/4 of the TFS set. However, now I see that it barely does anything. I figured the 50% proc would increase the damage by a lot, but it's honestly barely noticeable. And the defense is so bad I can't even kill NM ancients. They 2 shot me and my dmg takes too long to kill them so kind of stuck. Oh well! At least I tried :)

Melee assassin needs to be reworked. It started with nagisins getting new modifiers from rare/crafted items. It is sad, but I just suggest you to put that character on the side and try a new uncommon build.

go with anarchy, if it's between thsoe 2. cast speed > attack speed. i'd assume you aren't melee attacking enough for banshee . . and essentially 50% max mana/life is massive for survival. just roll repeatedly for 4 sin skills. but spellgrip is great till 100. . . .

trap sins i think are more than tank;y enough since you can go full vit. and the talent also amps that by 50%, and standing to cast maintains claw block. by claw sin i'm talking mostly dual wield claw, and the moment you move your only defense is now prismatic and avoid, since claw block is deactivated when moving. . . maybe that 50% vit and 25% max hp when hit in addition to a weapon/shield is substantial. (doesn't say you require dual claws for vit, block speed, and on hit regen passives). . . .

but only maxing 3 skills to obtain that defense, limits you to 3 smax. . . . so 2 ways and 1 wdm skill? . . . batstrike doesn't feel like a viable option, but i'm likely playing that one very wrong, since you can't go 3 charge for 3 effects. it's 1 effect which is very limiting, and kind of why i don't use it. I used to like barrier strike builds.

i'm mostly compairing the melee sin builds to melee sorc. which doesn't seem to come with a 60 point investment just for defense (vengeful power, 5 point 20% phys reduction and + spell power | either living flame, warp armor, snow queen. which is about 1/2 the trap investment, and provides phys reduction and either avoid/armor/max hp) . . . . and sorc bringing fusilade + firedance for fights that aren't melee friendly. where sin doesn't have that if you don't also invest into broadside. . . .

On the upside, i do think sins defensive which takes 60 points of investment is extremely strong, and borderline broken when used with traps that can build vitailty freely. but nowhere near as good on the other builds which won't invest so heavily into vitality.

My friend started playing median lately, with twin fang sin. Perfect build for newbie, don't you think? xD
For acting, I would recommend getting mercenary, 2a/5a one should solo ancients.

Overall, it's better for start to go dex and block instead of ene. Less damage but 2x more survivability. With fresh 115 lvl and proper gear you will reach 2.5k+ dex -> 50%+block. I think it's best way to start twing fang sin because without charms and good gear her life pool is just too small to go other way.
When I reach hell, I usually to go this way: Honorific belt and gloves with str+dex+fire spell dmg, rest mo's situational, aba craft circ, boots and shield with +1% block,

. Str MO are really powerful there, 2 honorific = 100 str, which means 100 more points to spend on dex. Mana on attack MO in weapon and you can go.

Biggest problem with dex starter is that you desperately need a lot of it and have problems getting -enemy pierce. Together with getting sigs/charm you will replace hard dex crafted gear with something more elemental oriented with high block kept. I think I mostly like this way to go because of smooth progression and easy gear change.
