Skilltree : Max perfect Being, Shadow dancer, all traps in traptree to 15 so we can get Artifice Mastery and max it to 10. 1 point into shadow refuge of naginata tree, rest of the clawskilltree will be left at 1 point.

spare pts into blink/prismatic cloak/way of gryphon/way of phoenix if u decide to go with beacon instead of gryphon, which i personally always do.

Attributes : str for gear req. rest Dex

Skills to use : Keep Shadow refuge and bloodbath up as they both reduce incoming damage, Noctule is the main skill for 99% of the content, on some bosses batstrike is alot better than noctule (Baal, Astrogha, Samael)

Crafted ber/ohm/thai Jewels, all of them are good choices. u search for Flat life >min/max damage, % attributes, Fhr/Fbr rate. having a bunch of flatlife jewels early on will make your life alot easier

Breakpoint to aim for : 86 FHR, 86 FBR. optional for lategame 200 FHR and 174 FBR thru jewels/MO`s , Ias breakpoint for claw will pretty much always be capped since the attack speed requirements here are super low

Skilltree : Max perfect Being, Shadow dancer, all traps in traptree to 15 so we can get Artifice Mastery and max it to 10. 1 point into shadow refuge of naginata tree, rest of the clawskilltree will be left at 1 point.

spare pts into blink/prismatic cloak/way of gryphon/way of phoenix if u decide to go with beacon instead of gryphon, which i personally always do.

Attributes : str for gear req. rest Dex

Skills to use : Keep Shadow refuge and bloodbath up as they both reduce incoming damage, Noctule is the main skill for 99% of the content, on some bosses batstrike is alot better than noctule (Baal, Astrogha, Samael)

Crafted ber/ohm/thai Jewels, all of them are good choices. u search for Flat life >min/max damage, % attributes, Fhr/Fbr rate. having a bunch of flatlife jewels early on will make your life alot easier

Breakpoint to aim for : 86 FHR, 86 FBR. optional for lategame 200 FHR and 174 FBR thru jewels/MO`s , Ias breakpoint for claw will pretty much always be capped since the attack speed requirements here are super low


rather useful. I always thought the judge claws were the claw of choice. but that +max dmg is kind of nuts. I'll go build one here soon enough. idk if i'll use anarchy over judge for my 2nd claw though. with the nerfed max hp pool on it, you still think it's better than judge?

edit: the differences i'm doing for the moment in the current runthrough. just ran into a minor block on nm ancients killing me a bit too quickly, but haven't upgraded in a bit

helm - haareis daidem, using it mostly for life leech, and % stats to help me equip gear. have it with some poison/fire res pgems
boots - t3 zeolot rush, nothing special. just tossed on a pair i found while nihlathak farming for other tu's. epicenter likely much better.
gloves - honorific. again for str/dex to equip gear. and with resist gems to fill any extra holes
weapons - 2x judge claws. both t4 blade talons and ber crafted 2% life leech jewels. the source of my lightneing resist as well
chest - just used a shark that picked up along the way. was planning on replacing it with mirage, but i'll take the advice here and swap it with dragonheart and see how it turns out.

skills - I haven't respecced yet, and so I have a fair few points into twin fang strike for a bit easier of an early game before i could craft the judges. Asside from that it's about what you'd expect. 15 per into traps for artafice (also put 60 points into vitality out of curiosity, not likely to do that on my respec), 10 into PB atm, 3 gryphon, 3 prismatic cloak (wanted to test gryphon, i prefer beacon generally), 7 into QoB for more ricochets as I was using judge claws, and rest into shadow dancer (almost smax)

I can see how your build works though. with more runewords you get a lot of life leech % there from jewels and wouldn't need haarais daidem for sustain (same belt choice, for ll and dex), a lot more survival with that boot and helm difference i think. My only curiosity is how different are the judge claws to the ones you selected. ik that noctule carries a wdm modifier and claws have hilariously low dmg, so the high +max dmg modifiers would do a lot of work there, esp with leech and shadow dancer. But how much further ahead is that to the thunder hammer procs. . . . I'll go build at least 1 hail though as that looks way to strong, but how good is anarchy relative to judge? or is it a selection based entirely off of the % max hp, and is that still the better option with it being nerfed from 25% > 15%. since the other modifiers on it don't really help too much. wouldn't it be better to use 2x hail? or do you not get the max dmg modifier on your offhand weapon?

as for thai rune crafts (i'll use ber but a question of curiosity for later). if you go over the minimum dmg is it just gain? for example. 39 min 41 max for random claw dmg. a ohm rune jewel for +4 max would be essentially +2.5 overall (some 1's and some 4's etc.) by taking it to 39 - 45 in range. . . . however would a thai jewel take a 39-41 to a 43-43? since a +4 minimum on 39 is 43. does it keep the variance range and just end up 43-45? or does it simply not work if the minimum is higher than the maximum? not clear on thaat

Skilltree : Max perfect Being, Shadow dancer, all traps in traptree to 15 so we can get Artifice Mastery and max it to 10. 1 point into shadow refuge of naginata tree, rest of the clawskilltree will be left at 1 point.

spare pts into blink/prismatic cloak/way of gryphon/way of phoenix if u decide to go with beacon instead of gryphon, which i personally always do.

Attributes : str for gear req. rest Dex

Skills to use : Keep Shadow refuge and bloodbath up as they both reduce incoming damage, Noctule is the main skill for 99% of the content, on some bosses batstrike is alot better than noctule (Baal, Astrogha, Samael)

Crafted ber/ohm/thai Jewels, all of them are good choices. u search for Flat life >min/max damage, % attributes, Fhr/Fbr rate. having a bunch of flatlife jewels early on will make your life alot easier

Breakpoint to aim for : 86 FHR, 86 FBR. optional for lategame 200 FHR and 174 FBR thru jewels/MO`s , Ias breakpoint for claw will pretty much always be capped since the attack speed requirements here are super low


rather useful. I always thought the judge claws were the claw of choice. but that +max dmg is kind of nuts. I'll go build one here soon enough. idk if i'll use anarchy over judge for my 2nd claw though. with the nerfed max hp pool on it, you still think it's better than judge?

edit: the differences i'm doing for the moment in the current runthrough. just ran into a minor block on nm ancients killing me a bit too quickly, but haven't upgraded in a bit

helm - haareis daidem, using it mostly for life leech, and % stats to help me equip gear. have it with some poison/fire res pgems
boots - t3 zeolot rush, nothing special. just tossed on a pair i found while nihlathak farming for other tu's. epicenter likely much better.
gloves - honorific. again for str/dex to equip gear. and with resist gems to fill any extra holes
weapons - 2x judge claws. both t4 blade talons and ber crafted 2% life leech jewels. the source of my lightneing resist as well
chest - just used a shark that picked up along the way. was planning on replacing it with mirage, but i'll take the advice here and swap it with dragonheart and see how it turns out.

skills - I haven't respecced yet, and so I have a fair few points into twin fang strike for a bit easier of an early game before i could craft the judges. Asside from that it's about what you'd expect. 15 per into traps for artafice (also put 60 points into vitality out of curiosity, not likely to do that on my respec), 10 into PB atm, 3 gryphon, 3 prismatic cloak (wanted to test gryphon, i prefer beacon generally), 7 into QoB for more ricochets as I was using judge claws, and rest into shadow dancer (almost smax)

I can see how your build works though. with more runewords you get a lot of life leech % there from jewels and wouldn't need haarais daidem for sustain (same belt choice, for ll and dex), a lot more survival with that boot and helm difference i think. My only curiosity is how different are the judge claws to the ones you selected. ik that noctule carries a wdm modifier and claws have hilariously low dmg, so the high +max dmg modifiers would do a lot of work there, esp with leech and shadow dancer. But how much further ahead is that to the thunder hammer procs. . . . I'll go build at least 1 hail though as that looks way to strong, but how good is anarchy relative to judge? or is it a selection based entirely off of the % max hp, and is that still the better option with it being nerfed from 25% > 15%. since the other modifiers on it don't really help too much. wouldn't it be better to use 2x hail? or do you not get the max dmg modifier on your offhand weapon?

as for thai rune crafts (i'll use ber but a question of curiosity for later). if you go over the minimum dmg is it just gain? for example. 39 min 41 max for random claw dmg. a ohm rune jewel for +4 max would be essentially +2.5 overall (some 1's and some 4's etc.) by taking it to 39 - 45 in range. . . . however would a thai jewel take a 39-41 to a 43-43? since a +4 minimum on 39 is 43. does it keep the variance range and just end up 43-45? or does it simply not work if the minimum is higher than the maximum? not clear on thaat



Judge claw in offhand doesnt do anything as most offensive stats dont work in offhand currently. will maybe get fixed someday who knows? meaning that the offhand weapon of choice literally is a statstick to use and enables clawblock to work. and yeah the times of judge claws are over. especially at lvl 100 hail claw is WAY better than the normal judge claw.

lifeleech gear isnt really needed, the few % from the charms r always enough for me thru the whole game tbh. but theres still the belt with lifeleech incase u want more

up until 125 its pretty much all about getting life from all possible sources so you can get your buffs up and get noctule running to leech alot of life from mobs before they potentially lock you into fhr animations and you die to 2-3 slaps of stronger monsters, getting the 125 charms gives a big chunk of hp and will make ssin considerably tankier. life is the reason why so much of the posted gear is directed towards increasing the lifepool of assassin, which you can drop a bit off later on in the game (125+)

as for thai/ohm crafting... they both give the same average dmg in the end so it doesnt matter which craft you go with

makes sense. if ll isn't as valuable (outside potentially what you get from jewels, which i'll keep as ber for my own sanity sake), would it then be moderately acceptable in the early/mid game to take a 1% life leech craft over 2% if it has a life modifier on it. . . I generally like to aim for 2% life leech, and fhr as my main priorities. With usually 4 -req jewels to help offset the really high str req of sacred armor/gloves/boots early on. a -30 to 45% from a couple jewels makes that 400+ str much more bearable imo. to such a degree i'm ok with dropping down to 1% ll to get a couple of them. at least till charms kick in, since I don't (but maybe should) farm nm nihlathak for sigs. mostly because of the little guys that spawn turrets on death repeatedly killing my merc, or those + vipers fhr locking me.

Hey guys, can't seem to find info on whether or not dexterity scales block chance when using Artifice Mastery.
With that skill at 10, 2 claws equipped, artifice mastery says 45% chance to block.
level 122, 2k dex
Main stat page says 0% block chance
Can't seem to find block chance in d2stats app, which is where I would assume the block chance would show while wielding claws?

If I want to reach for max block, am I locked into a shield?
And capped at 45% while dual wielding?

Or is dex further increasing my block chance with claws, but not visible to me?
