what do i need for Slayer Pally?

Hi, i m not new, but never played this game all that serious for a long time. Recently came back to it. Its alot of fun. I make a Pally that uses Slayer. I m in act2 hell and play hardcore, what gear do you suggest? Also my merc is close to naked, he starts dying now, in hell.

Weapon -- Herr Donner
Helm -- The all seeing eye
shield -- Catechumen
gloves -- Vile hand
belt -- Aerin Orbiter
shoes -- Wake of destruction

all sockets are full of HELLHELLHELLHELLHELLHELLHELLHELL... and i used some orbs to boost resists, they are all 75% now.

Is there anything I really need? Kills are getting slower in Hell... and what does a good merc act2 need?

Clearing with Slayer as main skill will be slow no matter what gear you have, but it's a safe strat in hardcore for some dangerous ubers.

Without knowing your skill point allocation, it's hard to say much. Besides the obvious Slayer and TB, I max Scourge for farming. I haven't touched Slayerdin for a while so maybe there are better setups now. For gear, you can keep the Allseeing Eye and Wake of Destruction. The rest can use an upgrade to crafts. Don't forget to still blast Mind Flay while Slayer is doing the work becuz MF applies a magic resist debuff on enemies. Regarding a merc, I prefer a3 Necrolyte for additional dps since pally already has 15 scourges that act as meatshields. You can just give them some crafts and call it a day.
