nvm i realised how he gets max block with shimmering crafts (barb helm rw), but i can't delete this post? :(

Edit. Hmmm actually I don't see Xis rune in the docs or Google. How do I get them? Hope I can get them in SP.

Xis Rune = runestone +each of the elemental runes (1 runestone+ elemental essence)

They also require lvl 121 to equip in sockets, so don't use any Mystic Orbs on items that you want to socket the runes into.

It's not a must btw, you can use like -15 res abadoned gloves, put some stat into dex, and still easily reach max block without xis helmet.

Aerial have you thought of writing it up as a guide? It might save you answering the same questions over and over! :)
You could probably just copy/paste some of your detailed posts in this thread and add a few words to make it more 'formal'...?

About throwbarb? Not really, it is pretty generic build. I personally prefered merc barb lot more than thrower, I was lot closer to writing a guide about that one. Overall, I'm more of a fan of guides that describe something "less obvious", some gimmky build that someone "discovered" rather than just how to optimally spec char around one of generic skill trees.
Plus there is big chance its gonna get nerfed, because stampede is just really high %damage mod compared to other skills, seems like decent nerf candidate. I also don't think block passive will stay at current shape, it is bit too good.
Overall writing barb guide, any barb guide seems rather short term, I see abjurer damage getting toned down as well. Nerfing block passive affects almost every spec, potentially for damage too (hello 40% deadly strike). So like, anything you write about, thrower, a3 merc barb or even like boss killer barb, guide to all charms, its all gonna get nerfed pretty hard imo, and your "work" becomes outdated.

Yes I understand what you say about guides becoming out of date quickly - although generic ones are probably still good for new people maybe or folks who don't have much time to try all the permutations of gear and skills.

I've often thought it would be good to have a guide format that's easy to change to a new patch and also easy for someone to take over if someone stops playing. But it's probably not easy to do that.

i'm building a new rebound barb and am wondering if I should choose nephalem weapon or gladiator's dominance. I like high dmg for offscreen farming but i
have already used lion stance so maybe a little ctb would help. about boss killing i think deathgaze is good enough. Can anyone give me an idea of how much + magic dmg gladiator's dominance would give a smaxed rebound with about 13-15 base pts? also should I try to craft a kraken helm or keep using lion stance?
