I am the weirdo who thinks Median was at it's best during "somewhat" early/medium development.
Bloody Mary, Unholy Armor, assassin's skills locked by getting hit, charm tree, retaliate paladins peak performance, super dangerous mobs like frog princes...
The game felt like a mod already, but not quite like a spam fest à la PoE. It was more of a love letter or what-could-have-been than a multiplayer driven balance heavy full game.
I know I am not very representative though.
